Grilled Honey Lime Salmon

Grill salmon fillets marinated in a sweet and tangy honey lime glaze for a quick, healthy, and impressive dish.

  • 1 lb. salmon fillets With skin on preferred for grilling
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice About 2 limes
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Lime wedges, for serving
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Method
 

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine fresh lime juice, honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and olive oil. Whisk until glossy and fragrant.
  2. Place salmon fillets in a resealable plastic bag, pour marinade over fish, and gently massage to coat. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, up to 2 hours.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat and grease the grates with oil.
  4. Remove salmon from marinade, letting excess drip off. Season with salt and pepper. Grill skin-side down for 6-8 minutes, then flip and cook for an additional 4-6 minutes until flaky.
  5. Transfer salmon to a platter, drizzle with any leftover marinade, and garnish with lime wedges and cilantro.

Notes

Leftovers keep well and can be enjoyed cold in salads or reheated; do not freeze as it may alter texture.
