  • 12 oz. high-quality chocolate chips semi-sweet or dark
  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract or liqueur such as Grand Marnier or Kahlua
  • a pinch of salt

Method
 

  1. Start by heating the heavy cream in the fondue pot over medium heat. Stir occasionally until it begins to steam.
  2. Once the cream is heated, reduce the heat to low and add the chocolate chips. Stir constantly with a whisk until the mixture is smooth and glossy.
  3. Add a splash of vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and whisk until combined.
  4. Pour the hot chocolate fondue into a serving bowl or keep it in the fondue pot over a low flame. Arrange dippables on a platter.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Gently reheat before serving again.
