Cozy Apple Dump Cake for Fall

This simple Apple Dump Cake combines apple pie filling, cake mix, and butter for a warm, comforting dessert.

  • 2 cans apple pie filling (21 ounces each)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 ounces)
  • 1-½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Spread the apple pie filling evenly in the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle the cake mix evenly over the apple filling.
  4. Sprinkle the ground cinnamon over the cake mix.
  5. Generously drizzle the melted butter over the top.
  6. If using, top with chopped nuts.
  7. Bake for about 45-55 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
  8. Let it cool slightly before serving.

Notes

This cake can be enjoyed warm or as a breakfast treat with coffee.
