- In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
- In another bowl, whisk the egg into the milk until completely blended. Pour the liquid mixture into the flour mixture, stir gently until just combined.
- Fold the diced apples into the batter, ensuring every piece is coated.
- In a deep skillet or large pot, heat about 2 inches of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Drop the batter into the hot oil, 2-3 at a time, and fry until golden brown on both sides (about 2-3 minutes per side).
- Remove the fritters from the oil and let them drain on paper towels. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
