  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 1 cup almonds
  • 1 cup hazelnuts
Group: Coating
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 Tbsp. water

Equipment

  • Oven Set to 300°F (150°C)
  • Baking sheet Line with parchment paper
  • Medium bowl
  • Large bowl

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the egg white, vanilla extract, and water until frothy.
  3. In another bowl, mix the granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, and salt.
  4. Add the nuts to the egg white mixture, tossing them to ensure they're evenly coated. Then, sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the nuts until fully covered.
  5. Spread the coated nuts in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for about 25-30 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  6. Remove the nuts from the oven and let them cool completely on the baking sheet.

Notes

Letting the nuts cool completely is essential for achieving that delightful crunch.
